1. Spice World (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I liked Spice World 10 years ago, and though I worried it wouldn’t age well, I thought it still entertained in 2007. An often clever piece of silliness, the movie pokes fun at itself and everything else to provide a witty and charming experience ... I like the movie enough to recommend it, but this stands as a lackluster DVD. Starring The Spice Girls. So

An often clever piece of silliness, the movie pokes fun at itself and everything else to provide a witty and charming experience ... Should fans who own the 1998 DVD bother to “upgrade” to this 2007 edition? I don’t think so. I felt both d

4. The House Bunny (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Random and pointless, The House Bunny boasts a marginally clever concept but comes with no other positives. The film does little more than steal from other flicks, and it never ties together these elements in an amusing or satisfying manner ... Because I expected little from it, I can’t call Bunny itself a disappointment, but I can say that it’s forgetta

5. One Direction: This Is Us [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In One Direction: This Is Us, we get a look at the world’s biggest pop band circa 2013. With its mix of concert material and behind the scenes footage, it offers an occasionally entertaining take on its subjects, but it remains far too frothy and promotional to boast much impact. The Blu-ray provides good picture and audio along with a decent set of supp

9. Playboy: Jamcia 'N Me Wild (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t think Jamaica’n Me Wild offers one of the worst Playboy videos I’ve seen, but it also falls short of that list’s peak. Only its final segment lives up to its billing, as most of the prior 68 minutes seems fairly dull. I enjoyed that end piece despite an unappealing production choice, but this remains a lackluster product. Playboy Home Video, $14.

10. Sex and the City: The Complete Series and 2 Movie Collection [Blu-Ray] (1998-2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A major hit and a cultural sensation, Sex and the City holds up surprisingly well more than two decades after its debut. Even for someone far outside its target audience, I can find charm and wit in this mostly engaging series, though don’t expect much from the flawed feature films. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall. New Line, $179.99, 11/2/2
